Badley injured in a accident at Road Atlanta in 1995. He retired & worked on the development of safety features (mostly armco design) for racing circuits. 2003 he moved to Cuba, where he now runs two fishing resorts. Later he has bought a kart and does some racing, he finished 2nd in a local championship 2008
