Harald was a amateur driver and journalist. He was one of the four drivers who helped to get Niki Lauda out of his burning Ferrari at Nurburgring in 1976. Killed in a light plane (Beechcraft Bonanza) crash 1982 whilst taking his family to their holiday home in northern Germany.
