In 1978 he started to run the Allan Grice Touring Car and Sports Sedan team.
Later he run BMW's in the Australian Touring Car Championchip until 1987 and again in 1991-1998 when he became involved in driver training.
When Frank suddenly quit the Tasman series early in 1973 he said 'I drove like an old woman' after winning one race and three second places…
Frank is known for becoming the second driver to win three BTCC titles, and the first to do so in three different types of car.
