Began his racing career in rallies. Lucas joined Gordini as team manager and occasional driver in 1953 and was seen racing his own Ferrari under the Los Amigos banner in North African events. His only GP was when Manzon wasen't able to drive that he drove the car Monza 1955. At the Moroccan GP 1957 the car overturned and left Jean badley injured. Founded the magazine Sport-Auto 1962
