The elder brother of World Champion Jody Scheckter. After racing singel seaters Ian switched to saloon car racing with BMW 535i in South Africa. His son Jaki joined the family footsteps racing in junior single-seaters winning the Barber Dodge Pro Series 1995. For a number of years, Ian ran a petrol station & motorcycle business. Now retired, spends most of his time playing golf.
