Awarded the Motorsport Industry Association's personal award for the Most Outstanding Contribution to the Motorsport Industry. 1972 Bernie formed the Formula One Constructors Association with Frank Williams-Williams, Colin Chapman-Lotus, Teddy Mayer-McLaren, Ken Tyrrell-Tyrrell, and Max Mosley-March. In 2004 he sold one of his London residences (Kensington Palace Gardens), to steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal for £57.1 million, making it the most expensive house ever sold.
